Dancing in Azerbaijan with the Zurich-based newcomers

Considering their starting point in an abandoned bomb shelter in the Swiss town of Dietikon, Swiss pop duo Odd Beholder make unexpectedly uplifting pop tunes. For the first video from their debut EP, Lighting—written by vocalist Daniela Weinmann in an artists’ flat in Amsterdam and recorded in Berlin—the Zurich-based two-piece enlisted German filmmakers Andrea Grambow and Joscha Kirchknopf to capture a soft-lit portrait of suburban Azerbaijan.
